I replaced one of my 35-year old operable Velux skylight with a solar unit with remote control. Unfortunately, the original skylight was operable, but I rarely opened it because I had to get on a ladder to open it. So much easier with the remote. I may actually open the skylight now.

We replaced a solar tub with a Fresh Air Skylight. It is solar powered with a built in shade. it also comes with a screen. We love it. we added trim lighting so it looks good both day and night.

Had a solar powered skylight with light filtering shade installed when we had our roof replaced. It was a great decision. Love the amount of light it brought into the dark corner of our kitchen. Only downside is the size of the solar shade. It takes up 3-4 inches of the window.
Excellent replacement for old skylight

Our old Velux skylight had served us well for almost 30 years. The last few months it had developed an intermittent leak during heavy downpours so it was time for it to be replaced. We chose the solar skylight along with the solar blinds and it was installed a few days ago. Installation went quick and the skylight and blinds work like a charm. Only draw back I can see is now I have 2 more remote controls I have to try and remember where I left.

We just had multiple solar fresh air skylights and blinds installed. We are very happy with them. They are so easy to use especially since both the windows and the shades can be controlled using our phone. Have had Velux skylights in previous homes and have never had a single issue.
