    Description

He is the historical founder of the Buddhism of our time. Around 2500 years ago this figure was born in Nepal as a prince called Siddharta Gautama. He reached the enlightened state at age 35 and since then was called ‘Buddha’, meaning the Awakened One or Enlightened One.
After he reached the highest state of consciousness he started traveling different places in Nepal and India, to offer his insights and teachings to a diverse range of people, and he did so the remaining 45 years of his life, until he died at age 80.
